In order to provide you with accurate, meaningful data, our Performance Team spends up to 3 business days to create, analyze, and vet your final report.
Here’s how we do it:
- We run the URL you provide through an independent third-party tool called WebPagetest, which is housed on a server in our datacenter in Vancouver. WebPagetest is the only third-party diagnostic tool that realistically simulates real-world user environments and browser behavior. We do this specifically to ensure that we don't give you unrealistic, unattainable "laboratory" performance levels.
- One of our Performance Engineers reviews the initial test results to ensure that they accurately reflect your site's content and contain no anomalies.
- We configure the Strangeloop Site Optimizer service to accelerate the page. In order to get an accurate report, we must configure the system for your site's specific needs. Then we run the page test on the accelerated page.
- After testing the accelerated version of the page, we review the test results to ensure that they accurately reflect what Site Optimizer can do for the page.
- Once we are satisfied with the results, we generate the final report and send it to you.
