Impact of 1-second delay
In 2008, Aberdeen surveyed more than 160 organizations with average annual revenues of $1.3 billion to determine the impact of application and website performance on metrics such as customer satisfaction, brand reputation, and revenue. They found that, on average, performance issues could affect overall revenue by up to 9% -- or, in dollar terms, $117 million a year.
