Median page requires 77 server requests

Our survey of 2,000 top retail websites found that the median web page has 5% more requests in 2012 than 2011, an indication that pages are getting bigger. A typical request takes between 20 and 50 milliseconds, hence the need to reduce the number in order to serve pages faster.
