Senior/Intermediate IT Network/Systems Analyst

Strangeloop Networks is seeking an IT Networking/Systems professional with 5+ years of experience implementing and managing network/server infrastructures supporting a combination of Linux and Windows. Experience with firewalls, routing, load balancing and traffic/protocol analysis is highly desired.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years practical work experience with network and systems administration with a SOLID background in IP networks and services (bridging, routing, VLANs, firewalling, NAT, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux installation/maintenance/support
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft IIS administration
  • Proven documentation skills for systems and networking environments (diagrams and written)
  • Experience with VMWare and virtualization technologies
  • Strong practical experience with Apache/IIS administration
  • Experience using scripting languages (e.g. Perl, sh)
  • The ability to learn quickly and live/eat/breathe technology
  • Candidates with technical certifications, i.e. MCSE or CCNP/CCNA desired, but not mandatory

Duties
  • Implementation, reconfiguration and maintenance of ALL networks and systems infrastructure
  • Documentation of process and procedures pertaining to the IT and Support infrastructure
  • Implementation and maintenance of monitoring and notification systems (i.e. SNMP, MRTG, Munin, Nagios)
  • Maintenance and support of F5 BigIP, ProCurve switching/VLANs.
  • System backups, restoration, and automation/auditing of backup procedures
  • Provide second level support for users of internal networks and systems
  • Inventory control, asset tracking and attaining quotes from vendors for hardware/software/services
  • Account management and security, additions/removals of access, certificate management
  • Maintaining remote systems within colocation facilities, i.e. a mindset for remote manageability
  • Implementing and maintaining corporate email and anti-virus solutions
  • Management of corporate phone systems and VOIP
